These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and PDFMasala ("PDFMasala", "we", "us") for your use of the website at pdfmasala.com and its tools (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
PDFMasala provides free online tools to view, edit, organise, convert, rename, translate and extract text from PDF and related files. The tools run in your web browser and your files are processed on your own device. We may add, change, limit or remove features at any time without notice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) and able to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Your files and content
You keep all rights to the files you use with the Service. Because your files are processed on your device, we do not receive, store or claim any rights in them. You are solely responsible for your files, for having the right to use and change them, and for keeping your own backup copies.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to break any law or to infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights;
- create forged, falsified or misleading documents, or use the Service for fraud;
- copy, scrape, mirror, frame, resell or redistribute the Service or its code, or use it to build a competing service;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security, or access it by automated means such as bots or scripts;
- click on ads artificially, encourage others to do so, or interfere with how ads are shown or measured.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its name, logo, design, text, graphics and software, is owned by PDFMasala and protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service as offered. No other rights are granted. Open-source components remain under their own licences.
6. Advertising
The Service is supported by advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. By using the Service you agree that ads may be shown. Advertisers and their websites are not controlled or endorsed by us, and your dealings with them are solely between you and them.
7. Accuracy of results
Conversions, compression, text recognition and translation are produced automatically and may contain errors or differ from the original. Machine translation is not a substitute for a professional translator. You are responsible for checking results before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial or official documents.
8. Third-party services and links
The Service relies on and may link to third-party services and websites that we do not control. Their own terms and policies apply, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that every file will be processed correctly.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFMasala and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, revenue or business, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us to use it, which is zero. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PDFMasala and its operators from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your files, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access to the Service at any time, for anyone, with or without notice, including where these Terms are breached. The sections that by their nature should continue will survive termination.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
14. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
