How to Merge PDF Files into One

Open the tool →

Merging PDFs means joining several files into one document: a set of scanned receipts into one expense report, chapters into a book, or a cover letter, CV and certificates into a single job application. PDFMasala's Merge PDF tool does this inside your browser, so your files are never uploaded.

How to merge PDFs, step by step

  1. Open Merge PDF. On the home page, click the Merge PDF tile, or choose it in the top menu.
  2. Add your files. Drag the PDFs onto the page or click to choose them. You can add more files at any time.
  3. Put them in order. Drag the files in the list on the left into the order you want. The first file will be at the start of the merged PDF.
  4. Choose pages (optional). For any file you can type a page range such as 1-3, 5 to keep only those pages. Leave it empty to keep every page.
  5. Check the preview. The middle of the screen shows the pages, so you can see what you are about to create.
  6. Merge and download. Click the merge button, check the result in the preview window and download your new PDF.

Tips for a clean result

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit on the number of files?

There is no fixed limit. Because the work happens on your own device, the practical limit is your computer's memory. Dozens of ordinary documents are no problem.

Will the merged PDF keep text, links and quality?

Yes. The pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable, and images keep their quality.

Are my documents safe?

Your files never leave your device. Merging is done by your browser, which is why it also works for confidential documents such as contracts and bank statements.

Can I merge on a phone?

Yes, the tool works in mobile browsers, although a computer is more comfortable for long lists of files.
