How to Split a PDF into Separate Files

Open the tool →

Splitting a PDF turns one document into several smaller ones. It is useful when you only need to send part of a long file, when an upload form has a size limit, or when one scan contains several separate documents. PDFMasala's Split PDF tool offers several ways to split, and it works without uploading your file.

How to split a PDF, step by step

  1. Open Split PDF from the home page or the top menu.
  2. Choose your PDF. Drop it on the page or click to browse. Small pictures of all pages appear on the left.
  3. Pick how to split. Choose one of the ways described below.
  4. Check the pages. Ticked pages and the summary show exactly which files will be created.
  5. Split and download. The parts are saved as separate PDFs, together in one ZIP file when there are several.
